Brief summary of the most recent press coverage from my standpoint. The election of Donald Trump as new president of the United States is still sending waves of reactions around most of media outlets. In the colombian outlet El Tiempo historian Eduardo Posada Carbó wrote an opinion colum on October 31st called "Fears without Hopes" that commented on the last two numbers of the outlet The Atlantic, which promotes views that are friendly to the ones of the Democratic Party and opposed to the so called MAGA movement. The outlet officially endorsed Kamala Harris campaing in november and ran a quite sinister cover in October that, according to Posada Carbó, refers to Trump. Then, the historian went on again on November 7th with the colum Democracy, in problems where without tackling specifically the elections in USA, handles the topic of how disenchantment with democracy as a political system is spreading around the world opening the doors for figures such as Trump.
